Prince George Fire Rescue doused a blaze at an 800-block Burden Street home late Wednesday morning.

In all, 15 firefighters from three halls were called to the scene shortly before 11:30 a.m. where they found smoke coming from the roof area.

The fire was traced to the basement where it was contained to a single room. However, it caused an estimated $100,000 damage and filled the home with smoke, PGFR asst. chief Denis Poulin said.

The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.

No one was at home at the time and no one was injured.
