Major damage was done to a home on Zral Road when a fire broke out there on Friday afternoon. Prince George Fire Rescue Service got the alarm at about 2 p.m.

By Sunday, fire officials disclosed the estimated damage, but were still looking for the cause of the incident. The losses were pegged at about $150,000.

"No persons were home, but seven dogs had to be helped out of the house," said PGFRS assistant chief Rod Wiese. "(The) fire that started at the rear of the home spread to the attached garage and into the roof before 15 firefighters from three halls arrived. The fire was quickly knocked down but required three hours of overhaul to ensure it was completely out."

Zral Road is located in the Hart area, off of North Kelly Road.
