A residential garage is heavily damaged following a a Saturday afternoon fire.
Around 3:45 p.m., 17 Prince George Fire Rescue crew members from three halls responded to a home in the 2000 block of East McLaren Road.
On arrival of the first engine, the fire was small, but quickly spread and engulfed the garage.
Crews were on scene for a couple of hours due to the heavy fire load in the garage. The home itself had some structure and smoke damage, but the worst was contained to the garage.
The estimated cost of damage is $150,000. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
