Fire danger increases across Prince George region

The fire danger rating now stands at high for most of the Prince George Fire Centre's region and officials are urging people to be extremely cautious when conducting any open burning.

The fire danger rating now stands at high for most of the Prince George Fire Centre's region and officials are urging people to be extremely cautious when conducting any open burning.

Over the last six weeks, crews have responded to 80 fires in the region - up from 60 the week before - all but one of them human caused, and that's causing Forests and Range Minister Pat Bell to issue a warning.
