An electrical malfunction was the source of a fire that broke out in the garage of a 5000 block Crest Road home on Wednesday morning, Prince George Fire Rescue says.
Crews from three halls were called to the scene at 7 a.m. By then, the occupants had knocked down most of the flames and the fire was held to the garage area although light smoke was still emitting from the home's front door.
Firefighters searched the living quarters and overhauled the garage to ensure fire had not spread, then ventilated building.
