The Prince George Soccer Association (PGSA) will see three championship finals on Saturday (Sept. 21) to mark the end of the 2019 calendar year for all of its divisions among men and women.
This includes the men’s over-45, Division One, and Division Two groups.
The women ended their season early September when the Marathon Eavestroughing defeated the Golden Girls 5-2 in Division 2B.
Lindsay Ingram scored two goals en route to the title, and so did Kayla Korolek, Breanna Moleski, and Brittany MacNeil.
Marathon finished the regular season with a 15-6 record with 87 goals.
On the men’s side, the Division One final also features the two team atop the standings with P.G. Dome (18-2-0) taking on Subway FC (13-6-0).
Subway’s Austin Derksen is the top goal-scorer among the two clubs with 17 in 11 games.
Game time is 4 p.m. on PGSA Field Two.
In men’s Division Two, it’s the Reds and the Royals in the title match, starting two hours earlier, 2 p.m on PGSA Field Two.
The last-place Reds upset the league-leading Light Blues in Sunday’s (Sept. 15) semi-final, ending the season with a 4-10-14 record.
The Royals come into the championship with a 6-6-5.
The over-45 final will see the Canadian Western Bank Reds square up with the Mr. Quick Gunners, 2 p.m. on PGSA Field One.
These were the top two clubs in the four-team division, landing records of 11-3-4 and 8-7-4 respectively.
Matthew Mortlock led the league with 18 goals in 15 games, one more than teammate Merv Skulsh with 17.
