The Pacific Trails natural gas pipeline will be a "game changer" if built, about 100 people who attended a workshop on the business opportunities were told Friday, but the companies behind the project have not yet decided if they'll go ahead with the project.

Preliminary cost of the pipeline, combined with a liquified natural gas (LNG) plant at Kitimat, has been put at $5.5 billion and "we have to get rid of all the risk or it doesn't happen," Terry Joubert, the project's vice president said.
