Fields to re-open Saturday

Despite sunnier skies, city fields remained closed Friday thanks to standing water. The City of Prince George said it would re-open fields at noon Saturday to give baseball fields more time to soak up the puddles.

Despite sunnier skies, city fields remained closed Friday thanks to standing water.

The City of Prince George said it would re-open fields at noon Saturday to give baseball fields more time to soak up the puddles. By Friday, city crews said the soccer fields had very little problems.

"Rather than risk turf damage because of saturated playing surfaces, city fields will remain closed for one more day," the city explained Friday.
