A woman has died after a single-vehicle crash north of Williams Lake.
The Williams Lake RCMP Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services responded to the incident on Likely Road, west of Big Lake, where an older model pick up truck left the road and entered the ditch.
According to police, the truck rolled over and both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle - neither of whom appeared to be wearing seatbelts.
BC Ambulance, Central Cariboo Search and Rescue Auto Extrication and the Big Lake Fire Department also responded to the scene, where the female driver was pronounced dead. A male passenger was transported to Cariboo Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services Unit is working in conjunction with the BC Coroners Service to determine the cause of the crash.
