The victim of Sunday morning's single vehicle crash was Aaron Maurice Nickerson, 40, of Prince George, the B.C. Coroners Service said Tuesday.
Nickerson, the driver and sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene after his pickup truck left the Old Cariboo Highway south of Holmes Road, went into a deep ditch and slammed in to a driveway approach at about 2 a.m.
The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate the death but initial indications are alcohol, speed, distracted driving and failing to wear a seat belt were all factors.
