Fake grenade leads to airport evacuation

The Prince George Airport was evacuated and the road leading to the facility was closed while police investigated a grenade, which was reportedly found in a piece of checked luggage.

The Prince George Airport was evacuated and the road leading to the facility was closed while police investigated a grenade, which was reportedly found in a piece of checked luggage.

Shortly after the police began its investigation, it was determined the grenade was not a real explosive device.

Airport staff had reportedly not located the passenger associated with the baggage, however a name was provided to police.
