Eye catching ice fishing shack at the Northern BC RV & Outdoor Expo

Rainer and Sue Lippmann, who own one trailer set up at the lake and another for travel, wanted to see what was new at the Northern BC RV & Outdoor Expo this weekend at CN Centre.

The ice fishing shack was the one thing that really caught Rainer’s eye.

It’s a trailer that sits directly on the ice with luxurious seating and eight trap doors for easy access to the fish.

“I’ve never seen anything like it before so that was quite interesting,” Rainer said.

“I told Rainer that he could have the ice fishing shack if I could have the camper with the craft room in it,” Sue laughed.

There are some decked out trailers and the campers that are on the arena floor are nothing like the ones of days gone by.

Participating businesses are offering the best deals of the year to help get people ready to get outdoors this year.

On display are recreational vehicles, motorcycles, quads, tractors, boats, hot tubs, and there’s even lawnmowers and electrics bikes on the showroom floor.

SMP RV, Cap-It, Arctic Spas, Tourism PG, Prairie Coast and PG Motorsports will be on hand to showcase their finest, all under one roof.

The event goes until 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Entry is $2 that will go to support Prince George High School Football.

There are daily giveaways on site.
