Victoria Mcgivern, the Prince George woman seriously injured in last week’s downtown explosion and fire, may be returning to Prince George in the next day or two, according to a Facebook post.

Mcgivern was sent to Vancouver General Hospital in critical condition last Tuesday.

This Wednesday (Aug. 30), Mcgivern underwent surgery to repair the tendons in her hands.

“The surgery went really well and the surgeon is very optimistic that she will regain use of her hands again,” the post on the Victoria Mcgivern Support Page said.

“Walking is still proving to be a challenge,” the post stated. “Due to the severity of her concussion, Victoria becomes dizzy and nauseated when attempting to walk.”
