Events are planned in Prince George for National Victims of Crime Awareness Week.
On Tuesday, a "tea and talk" will be held at Books and Company, 1685-3rd Ave., where the public is welcome to talk to local service providers about the victories and challenges faced by youth in Prince George. The event runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
On Wednesday, a workshop to help service providers take care of themselves as they take care of others will be held at the Native Friendship Centre, 1600-3rd Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
That will be followed by the sixth annual National Victims of Crime Awareness Week celebration and gala at the Coast Inn of the North, 6 to 9 p.m., where the work of victim services workers, community members, volunteers and youth making a difference in Prince George will be honoured.
