The Community Development Institute presents Women in Leadership: Man, They're Good! on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the University of Northern B.C., Room 6-205, across from the Canfor Theatre.
The free event will feature the Honourable Shirley Bond, Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training and Minister Responsible for Labour, Stephanie Killam, former mayor of Mackenzie, Jillian Merrick, Prince George city councillor, and Shauna Harper, local entrepreneur.
The speakers will share their knowledge with the audience, emphasizing the ever-changing perception of women in leadership roles, the challenges they experience and then offer advice for women thinking about taking on community leadership roles.
A question and answer session will follow.
