It appears the weather has calmed down in Prince George.

Environment Canada has decided to lift its snowfall warning for the city and its surrounding areas after a 24-hour span.

The initial alert implemented at 4:30 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 6) and ended at 4:30 a.m. this morning (Dec. 7).

Snow has piled up and city crews are out on the roads taking control of normal operations.

Cloudy skies are expected for the evening in Environment Canada's forecast and 15 km/h winds, dropping the temperature to -14 C overnight.

Tomorrow (Dec. 8), we could see a lot of sun and a high of -8 C.

If you plan on travelling out of the region today, snowfall warnings are still in effect for the Cariboo, Chilcotin, the South Peace and Highway 16 east at the Alberta border.
