A pilot program that gives Employment Insurance claimants in northern B.C. enhanced benefits is nearing an end.
Due to finish on Oct. 23, it allows claimaints, mostly seasonal workers, to claim benefits based on their best 14 weeks of earnings in a 52-week period, as opposed to the average of their final 26 weeks.
