Emergency Reception Centre relocated

The City of Prince George has relocated the Emergency Reception Centre for wildfire evacuees. Currently located at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, the centre will now be located in the Service Centre at city hall.

Currently located at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, the centre will now be located in the Service Centre at city hall.

The move will take effect Monday morning. The hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Evacuees in need of Emergency Social Services are asked to inquire at the Service Centre. They can also phone 250-617-7168.

Currently, the city estimates there are now fewer than 20 wildfire evacuees in Prince George receiving Emergency Social Services.

Since the Emergency Operations Centre was established in Prince George, about 10,700 people registered for services in the city.
