Emergency Reception Centre has new hours for evacuees

Hours of operation for the Prince George Emergency Reception Centre for evacuees of the Cariboo wildfires will be reduced to 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting Saturday.

Hours of operation for the Prince George Emergency Reception Centre for evacuees of the Cariboo wildfires will be reduced to 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting Saturday.

Operation will also be reduced from seven days per week to Monday to Friday after the weekend.

As of Wednesday, services for evacuees are now located at the Conference and Civic Centre at 808 Canada Games Way.

Services include registration, voucher renewal, lodging, medical assistance as well as other services and amenities.

The Salvation Army and the Canadian Red Cross remain available at the centre to provide assistance and support to evacuees.
