Participants can book a test drive of a Ford Mustang Mach-E and hear first-hand from local electric vehicle owners.
Charge North tour
Danielle Wiess, electric mobility expert for the Community Energy Association, will be travelling northern B.C. with a Ford Mustang Mach-E which residents can test drive.

Rising demand for electric vehicles means they can be hard to find on your local dealership lot.

So the Community Energy Association is taking a Ford Mustang Mach-E on tour throughout central and northern B.C. to given residents a chance to test drive an electric vehicle and hear first-hand from local electric vehicle owners.

The Charge North EV Discovery Tour starts in Barriere, B.C. on Aug. 12 and will arrive in Prince George on Aug. 17. The free event will be held at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, near Exploration Place, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The tour will also be making stops in Quesnel (Aug. 16), Vanderhoof (Aug. 18), Burns Lake and Houston (Aug. 19), Terrace (Aug. 20) and Smithers (Aug. 21).

The tour is supported by BC Hydro and is aimed at promoting awareness of electric vehicles and the Charge North program, which will see 58 new EV charging stations installed in 31 communities from Masset to Valemount and Fort Nelson to Logan Lake.

For more information or to sign up to take a test drive, go to the Charge North EV Discovery Tour website.
