Changes to the boundaries separating Prince George-Mackenzie and Prince George-Valemount mean residents in the Hart and College Heights will want to double check on which riding they're living in before casting a vote in this provincial election.

Among the changes approved following a review of the province's electoral map in 2015, the new boundary in the Hart follows the Fraser and Nechako rivers to the John Hart Bridge, thereby placing the entire neighbourhood in Prince George-Mackenzie.

Previously, it followed Highway 97 through the centre of Prince George, splitting the Hart in two.

Likewise, in College Heights, the boundary that previously ran along Highway 16 now follows major roads to the west, placing the entire neighbourhood in Prince George-Valemount.

No changes were made to Nechako Lakes.

As of Tuesday, the candidates in Prince George-Mackenzie were Liberal incumbent Mike Morris and New Democrat Bobby Deepak and in Prince George-Valemount, Liberal incumbent Shirley Bond, New Democrat Natalie Fletcher and Green Nan Kendy.

The deadline for candidate nominations is April 18 at 1 p.m.
