A 63-year-old Prince George man was sentenced to a four month conditional followed by 18 months probation for pointing a shotgun.
Gordon Douglas Fleming was issued the term Monday in Prince George provincial court for a May 9 incident on Lansdowne Road where police were called to a report of Fleming pointing the gun at a man in a vehicle during the early morning.
Fleming was arrested after police, without him knowing, surrounded the home into which he had retreated. When he stepped out at about noon, he was apprehended without incident.
Fleming received the term on counts of careless use of a firearm, knowingly possessing a firearm without a licence and breach of an undertaking or recognizance.
A conditional sentence means Fleming will serve the term at home rather than in custody.
