Employees of the Elder Citizens Recreation Association have voted unanimously in favour of joining the Service, Health, Manufacturing and Allied Workers Union, CLAC Local 501.
"We are committed to ensuring that our members have a strong voice in their workplace," CLAC representative Audrey Wilkinson said in a press release on Tuesday.
"We are confident that together with our members, we will be able to work with management to create a positive work environment through the collective bargaining process and ongoing support."
The Elder Citizens Recreation Association is a non-profit organization that provides support to senior citizens in Prince George and the surrounding region. The association operates a seniors centre located on 10th Avenue.
