A dust advisory has been issued due to high concentrations of coarse particulate in the city's air.
The levels are expected to persist until there is a change in the weather pattern and tend to be highest around busy roads and industrial operations, officials said in a bulletin issued Tuesday morning.
People with underlying health issues are urged to avoid strenuous exercise when outside, officials said. This advisory is in effect until further notice.
