A dust advisory was ended Friday morning but could soon be back in place.

"Even though the dust advisory has ended, high dust levels are expected again later tonight and tomorrow morning," B.C. Environment air pollution meteorologist Dennis Fudge said.

"Plus high levels of odour may be expected for the downtown location late tomorrow morning."

An advisory was issued Thursday morning after levels of coarse particulate rose above 50 micrograms per cubic metre at the downtown and BCR industrial site measuring stations.

As of Friday morning, the levels were 31 at downtown, 22 at College Heights and 43 at the BCR industrial site. Levels of fine particulate remained far below the 25 micrograms per cubic metre that sparks a warning on that aspect.

The high levels of coarse particulate were due to road dust, Fudge had said.
