A local woman has been sentenced to 37 days in jail for possession of a controlled substance.
Karen Patricia Tremblay, 43, was issued the term Wednesday in Prince George provincial court in relation to an Aug. 21, 2014 drug bust at a 2100 block Norwood Street home.
At the time of her arrest, police said 4.6 grams of crack cocaine was found on Tremblay and she originally faced a charge of trafficking. But the charge had since been reduced.
Tremblay was also sentenced to 18 months probation with a suspended sentence for theft $5,000 or under from a July 18 incident.
