The local police did not dilly-dally over a suspected drug house.

Members of the Prince George RCMP Downtown Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant in the 2600 block of Quince Street Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m.

The warrant was carried out after gathering intelligence that the occupants were trafficking prescription narcotics. The search resulted in the seizure of various prescription medications including Hydromorphone, which is more commonly known as Dilaudid or as "dillies" on the street. The controlled substance is commonly used by street addicts as an alternative to heroin.

Police also seized a significant quantity of cash and an assortment of drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Three adult males were arrested inside the home. All three have since been released, with charges pending against two of the men.

The City of Prince George Bylaw Services and the Prince George Fire Department assisted the police in conducting an inspection on the property. The residence was found to be heavily fortified, with all the windows boarded and caged and a heavily fortified steel door.

Anyone with information about this or other illegal drug activity is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
