A driver of a pickup truck was killed in a a head-on collision early Monday morning on Highway 97 south of Prince George.
RCMP, who were called to the scene near Buckhorn Road at 1 a.m., said the northbound pickup crossed the centre line and collided with a semi-truck. Alcohol may have played a role, police added.
The two passengers in the pickup and the driver and sole occupant of the semi-truck survived and were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The stretch was closed for several hours, with a detour, to allow investigators to collect evidence .
Names of the occupants were not released.
