Driver injured after truck hits ditch

A truck driver has been sent to the hospital following an early-morning crash. Shortly after 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Prince George Regional Traffic Services responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 16 West at the Bednesti Lake Resort.

Shortly after 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Prince George Regional Traffic Services responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 16 West at the Bednesti Lake Resort.

According to Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, the Freightliner tractor trailer unit drove off the road and into the ditch.

The driver, who was the only occupant, was taken to the University Hospital of Northern B.C. with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP are investigating the crash, but do not believe speed or alcohol are factors in this collision.
