Driver flees scene after hitting pedestrian

Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for a driver suspected of hitting a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene. The incident occurred Wednesday at about 6 p.m. at the corner of Tamarack Street and 20th Avenue.

Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for a driver suspected of hitting a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred Wednesday at about 6 p.m. at the corner of Tamarack Street and 20th Avenue. A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It's believed the driver was behind the wheel of an older-model black sedan and it may have damage to the windshield on the passenger side.

Anyone with information on where the suspect may be is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
