A 65-year-old Fraser Lake man died Tuesday from the injuries he suffered in a highway crash.
The collision Monday afternoon on Highway 16 near Isle Pierre Road sent two people to University Hospital of Northern B.C. with serious injures. They were the lone occupants of the two vehicles involved.
The crash happened at about 2:45 p.m. when a westbound Volkswagen Passat, driven by the Fraser Lake man, and an eastbound Ford Taurus driven by an 18-year-old Alberta woman, collided head-on.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and names have not been released.
Highway 16 was closed in both directions until 8 p.m. Monday as a result of the crash.
