The parking lot entrance to the Prince George Public Library Bob Harkins branch downtown was roped off on Friday morning.

The parking lot entrance to the Bob Harkins branch of the Prince George Public Library remained closed on Friday morning, after being damaged last week.

During the closure, library users are still able to access the library from the Canada Games Plaza entrance. In an email, a spokesperson for the Prince George Public Library said the closure didn’t impact the library elevator’s operations.

“The glass was damaged on the parking lot side last week, and we were not able to safely operate the automatic door, so we had to close that access point,” the statement said.

Work to repair and reopen the entrance had been expected to be complete on Thursday, the spokesperson said. However the library entrance was still roped off on Friday morning.
