Police continue to search for a stabbing suspect who knifed two men then fled.
Officers were called Friday night at about 11 p.m. to UHNBC, where the two victims were being treated. One, a 23-year-old from Vanderhoof, had a laceration to the head while the other, a 28-year-old from Fort St. James, had a left-side puncture to the abdomen. Both men are expected to recover.
No arrest has been made.
"Investigators believe the assaults occurred in a residence on the 2200 block of Spruce Street," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.
"They were known to each other, they were in the same residence, and they generally know the same people. It is still under investigation as to whether one was the intended target or if both were intended targets."
Apart from the suspect, police know there was another person or persons in the same home at the time of the attack.
Investigators do not believe robbery was a motive, and it appears alcohol was a factor.
Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian male, five-foot-10, with short blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a black hat, black jacket and blue jeans.
