Doherty takes flight for Edmonton

Prince George Airport Authority director of marketing and business development Todd Doherty will be leaving in April to take a position at Edmonton International Airport.

Prince George Airport Authority director of marketing and business development Todd Doherty will be leaving in April to take a position at Edmonton International Airport.

Edmonton International Airport spokesperson Traci Bednard said Doherty was recruited to

"He'll be leading our air service and cargo unit," Bednard said. "We spent the last year developing a plan to revision our air service and cargo business. We wanted to invest in additional leadership resources to implement the vision."

After conducting a national search, the Edmonton airport approached Doherty for the position, she said.

Doherty declined to comment on his move and Prince George Airport president John Gibson could not be reached as of press time.

However, other media have reported that the airport will be restructuring its management to distribute the work done by Doherty. A replacement will be recruited to fill some of his duties.
