Retired Prince George dentist Arnold Steinbart has been honoured for his long career by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC.
The regulatory body for dentists in the province presented Steinbart with a honoured member award at its annual awards ceremony earlier this month in Vancouver.
Steinbart graduated from UBC with a doctor of dental medicine degree in 1971 and shortly thereafter he began to practice in Prince George.
During his nearly four-decade career, which came to an end with his retirement in 2010, Steinbart volunteered with the college by serving on the board of directors and sitting on committees for professional review, conduct and discipline. According to a news release from the college, he will be remembered for helping to improve the complaints process.
