Deadline extended for UNBC Youth Writing Camp

The application deadline has been extended until Thursday, June 10 for the Raise-a-Reader Writer's Camp, hosted by UNBC.

The application deadline has been extended until Thursday, June 10 for the Raise-a-Reader Writer's Camp, hosted by UNBC.

The camp, which runs July 22 to 25, consists of writing-related workshops and activities facilitated by UNBC professors and visiting authors.

Students will experience the campus while exploring their artistic and creative expressive abilities. Readings by authors and the screening of a Hollywood film related to writing are planned for evening activities. The writing camp's last day coincides with the Bridges arts and culture festival at the university.

Students interested in attending the writing camp should send a five-page sample of their creative writing and a letter introducing themselves to Dr. Robert Budde, English Program, UNBC, 3333 University Way, Prince George, B.C., V2N 4Z9.
