The Prince George RCMP are supporting today's National Day of Remembrance for road crash victims.
"In support of the families of those that have lost their lives on our roadways, the Prince George RCMP's Municipal Traffic Services Section and volunteers from our Community Policing office, will be out spreading the message to slow down and drive to the road conditions" said Prince George RCMP Staff Sgt. Brad Anderson, in charge of Operations at the detachment.
"More than 300 people have lost their lives in our region over the last five years and many of them due to speed".
Many volunteers will be taking part in the Speed Watch program in areas throughout the City. Members of the Detachment's Traffic Services Section will be out supporting our volunteers by conducting enforcement in those areas.
