The Dawson Creek RCMP and B.C. Coroners Service are currently investigating the death of a unidentified man.
On Sunday, Nov. 6, Dawson Creek RCMP received information leading to the discovery of a man's body. Detachment investigators, assisted by the North District Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services, are currently examining the scene. The exact location is not being divulged at this time.
"Investigators are unable to provide additional details at this time, pending further investigation. We will provide an update for this matter once further information is confirmed." stated Cpl Dan Moskaluk.
One person is in police custody in relation to the death. Police are continuing their investigation, including examination of the scene, and soliciting public information by attending door to door in the community. Once further details are known, an updated media release will be distributed.
