Dates have been set for a second vote on a treaty for the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation.
Local voting opportunities will be held Oct. 21 at the Lheidli T'enneh administration office and on Oct. 22 at the Coast Inn of the North, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in both cases.
The first opportunity occurs in Vancouver at the Vancouver Native Friendship Centre on Oct. 15, followed by one in Prince Rupert at the Crest Hotel on Oct. 18.
Lheidli T'enneh membership rejected a first attempt in 2007. It drew approval from less than half of those who voted, well below the 50-per-cent-plus-one threshold that had been set for the deal to pass.
