The Canada Winter Games packed a huge economic wallop when they were held in Whitehorse, Yukon in 2007, according to estimates from the Canadian Sport Tourism Association.
The event contributed $75.2 million to the gross domestic product and generated $176.7 million in economic activity throughout the Yukon.
