Cuffing cancer upside the head

Members of the Quesnel RCMP are losing their locks in aid of cancer research.

Members of the Quesnel RCMP are losing their locks in aid of cancer research. On Friday at Spirit Square in downtown Quesnel, the clippers come out and buzz the heads of Mounties and their supporters who are making the esthetic sacrifice to raise pledges.

For a $5 donation, receive a hamburger and pop. For a $20 donation, a head shave is included.

There is also a bake sale and a Mr. Mike's barbecue for those who attend. It happens from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with money going to the Cancer Society's Relay For Life.
