Crook fills 'er up

It seems one crook was having a gas in Prince George. Three robberies at fuel stations all appear to be the work of the same suspect. Cameras caught images of the individual, and police are now asking for the public's help identifying him.

Prince George RCMP spokeswoman Const. Lesley Smith outlined the sequence of events.

"RCMP received their first call at 3:30 a.m. to a robbery in progress at the 7-11 on Queensway where a Caucasian male described as being in his mid- to late-20s, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds and wearing a white hoody, demanded money from the cashier. The suspect had a tire iron and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register then left the area on foot," she said.

"A second robbery was reported at 5:40 a.m. at the Mohawk gas station located on Central Street where the same male entered the store, advised the employee that he had a tire iron up his sleeve and demanded money," she continued. "The suspect attempted to open the cash register but was unsuccessful and left the store without any money. He was last seen wearing a grey and blue hoody with blue and white striped design."

Next she said, "The third robbery occurred at 6:30 a.m. at the 7-11 store on 20th Avenue where the suspect was wearing a black hoody with neon lining. The suspect produced a knife and demanded money from the employee. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen heading towards Redwood Street."

This suspect is obviously comfortable committing serial robberies, so Mounties are earnest about tracking him down before the staff of more such locations are victimized, or the incidents escalate.
