Residents of the Centennial Court Apartments on Fourth Avenue had a rude awakening Tuesday after an early-morning fire broke out.
Prince George Fire Rescue responded at around 4 a.m. to find smoke and flames coming from a third-floor apartment.
Crews quickly doused the blaze, with fire damage limited to the suite in which the fire originated.
Many of the residents had already evacuated the building and were waiting outside when firefighters arrived. A bus was called to the scene so that residents could wait out of the cold.
Fire crews remain on scene investigating but many residents have been allowed to return to their apartments.
An estimate of damage was not available.
