An early morning rumble shook Hixon residents from their sleep Saturday after six CN Rail cars jumped the tracks.
A spokesperson for CN confirmed that the cars were all empty and that there were no injuries stemming from the incident which happened around 4 a.m.
Crews were on scene cleaning up the accident Saturday afternoon and an investigation into the cause of the derailment is underway.
