The crash occurred at the Cale Creek crossing between White Road and Courval Road.
Highway 97 will be closed until at least 5 p.m. as crash investigators piece together how a collision occurred between a northbound tractor-trailer unit and a southbound pickup truck.
A police vehicle was also damaged in the crash.
Serious injuries occurred to the driver of the pickup all others received only minor injuries.
