About 20 firefighters and many RCMP members were called to a house fire Thursday at about 8 a.m. in the 2100 block of Redwood Street. The vacant two storey duplex was known to police as a crack shack at one point.
A witness that checks the house on a daily basis told RCMP there were two squatters at the back of the house earlier this morning.
Officials say that is where the blaze started.
