A Prince George pair are facing drug charges after $20,000 worth of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized from homes in Mackenzie and Prince George this week, Prince George RCMP said Friday.
The two were arrested in the early evening Wednesday in Mackenzie when police executed a search warrant on a 200 block Crysdale Drive home in the community of 3,500 people 186 km north of Prince George. They also seized 9.5 ounces of methamphetamine and two ounces of crack cocaine from the location.
Then, early Thursday morning, police executed a second warrant, this time on a 200 block Ospika Boulevard home in Prince George and seized ounce of cocaine, a smaller quantity of meth, "ledgers documenting five-figure drug sales, scales, a prohibited weapon, and packaging materials consistent with those found during the arrest in Mackenzie."
Names of the couple, a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were not released.
Charges related to drug trafficking are anticipated, police said. Both were released from custody with paperwork for court processes.
