Prince George city council will be reviewing two applications from the Aboriginal Housing Society of Prince George to develop more than 250 residential housing units for families, students and elders.
The society has proposed an Urban Aboriginal Village Initiative on a 6.8 acre site located at 1919 17th Ave.
The project is to be built over a five to 10-year period.
Plans are also in the works to add assisted living, temporary housing and on-site services and businesses as well as options for special event, spiritual and recreational spaces, childcare and community gardens.
Meanwhile, the society has a three-storey, 27-unit project underway at 1811 Spruce St. to provide housing for elders/seniors.
