Cougars to host Pro-D hockey school

The Prince George Cougars will be holding a hockey school on the school district's next professional development day. It is set for Friday, October 23 at KIN 2 Arena and is divided into five hour-long sessions, each costing $35.

The Prince George Cougars will be holding a hockey school on the school district's next professional development day.

It is set for Friday, October 23 at KIN 2 Arena and is divided into five hour-long sessions, each costing $35.

The morning sessions will be made up of three three-on-three scrimmages open to all skill levels, starting at 8 a.m. for ages 7-8, then 9:30 a.m. for ages 9-10 and then 11 a.m. for ages 11-12.

The elite level sessions, made up of skills training, including goalies, start at 12:30 for ages 9-10 and then 2 p.m. for ages 11-12.

All sessions will be instructed by the Cougars' coaching staff, led by general manager and head coach Mark Lamb. Lamb along with goaltending coach Taylor Dakers and development coach Steve O'Rourke.

It's the second in a series of hockey camps the Cougars plan to host throughout the fall and winter.
