Cain Franson had a pair of goals as the Vancouver Giants beating the Prince George Cougars 3-1 on Saturday at CN Centre.
Franson, who had three points in the Giants' 3-2 win Friday, gave the visitors a 2-0 lead after two periods, much to the dismay of the 4,696 fans armed with Teddy Bears.
The fans' frustration at the Cougars inability to score finally boiled over when Giants' defenceman Luke Fenske dropped the gloves with Cougars captain Jesse Forsberg at the 14:21 mark of the final period. Energized by the fisticuffs the fans showed their appreciation for the spirited bout by tossing the bears on the ice, causing a 15 minute delay.
When play resumed the Cougars had a power-play because Fenske received an extra minor for instigating and 65 seconds later it was Alex Forsberg lighting the lamp with a power-play goal.
Austin Vetteri added an empty net goal.
